Studio Rules & Policies

STUDIO RULES
-
Each week students should bring materials necessary for any private lesson or group class.

No food, gum, or drinks (besides water) are allowed in the studios.
-
Please leave valuables and jewelry at home, the studio is not responsible for missing items.
-
Please be prompt. Private lesson times will not be extended for students who arrive late.
-
Students should be picked up promptly at the end of their lesson/class time.
-
CCS reserves the right to cancel any class that does not meet the minimum number of students required.
MAKE-UP POLICIES for PRIVATE LESSONS

Students may reschedule a maximum of 2 lessons per season. We are unable to offer unlimited make-up lessons due to the full teaching schedules of our instructors.

No credits or refunds are given for missed lessons.

Parents are responsible for contacting CCS to schedule a make-up lesson. Make-up lessons may be scheduled up to 2 weeks in advance.
-
If you miss your scheduled makeup lesson, it will not be rescheduled.

In the event that your usual instructor is absent, CCS will provide a substitute. If a substitute cannot be provided, you will receive a credit towards your next month’s tuition.

MAKE-UP POLICIES for GROUP CLASSES

No refunds are given for missed classes.
-
If a student is unable to attend class due to illness/emergency, families can receive up to (2) credits per season on their studio account for future use within the season.

Families must request a credit via email or phone call for a credit to be applied. It will not be applied automatically.

In the event that your usual instructor is absent, CCS will provide a substitute. If a substitute cannot be provided, you will receive a credit towards your next month’s tuition.

Dress Code
Dancers
All dancers are required to wear appropriate clothing to class. Street wear and sneakers are not permitted for dance only classes.
Ballet Dress Code
-Leotard, tights, and ballet shoes must be worn to all ballet classes. Skirt or dance shorts are permitted to wear over leotards and tights for comfort.
-Hair should be worn in a bun or pinned completely out of the face if hair is short.
-All loose or dangly jewelry should be avoided. For safety reasons, no rings/earrings/bracelets should be worn to dance classes.
Jazz/Tap Dress Code
-Leotard and tights are strongly recommended.
-T-shirt and leggings are permitted, but should not be too loose/baggy and should not hinder movement in any way.
-Jazz & Tap shoes are required to be worn to each class. No sneakers permitted.
-Hair should be worn in a ponytail, bun, or pinned completely out of the face if hair is short.
-All loose or dangly jewelry should be avoided. For safety reasons, no rings/earrings/bracelets should not be worn to dance classes.
Tiny Triple Threat & Musical Theatre Students
-Students should wear athleisure, workout clothes, or dance attire.
-Jazz shoes are required to be worn to each class. No sneakers permitted.
-Tiny triple threats may wear either jazz or ballet shoes. No sneakers permitted.
Actors
Acting 101 & 102 Dress Code
-Actors should wear athleisure, workout clothes, or casual attire that does not restrict movement.
-Sneakers only, no flip flops or sandals permitted.
-Hair should be worn in a ponytail, bun, or pinned completely out of the face if hair is short.
Film/TV Dress Code
-Actors should wear athleisure, workout clothes, or casual attire that does not restrict movement.
-Sneakers only, no flip flops or sandals permitted.
-Actors should avoid wearing green or blue shirts to class when filming.
-Hair should be worn in a ponytail or pinned out of the face.
