Ages 7-12

Broadway Dance (ages 8-12)

Mondays 6:30-7:30pm

Develop your inner performer and focus on Broadway-style dance moves in this lively, fast-paced class! Broadway shows range in dance styles from ballet to tap to hip hop, and musical theatre performers should be familiar with all styles. Classes include warm-ups, stretches, technique work, and combinations. Emphasis will be placed on learning performance skills such as connecting with the audience and telling a story through dance.

Requirements: Face mask, Dance clothes or Workout clothes with Jazz and Tap Shoes

Acting Technique (ages 9-12)

Mondays 6:45-7:45pm

This exciting Acting class will lead students to the steps necessary to become a skilled actor! Honing your acting and improv skills is an excellent way to work through stage fright, improve public speaking skills, create interesting characters, take risks in acting, learn to "think outside the box,” and trust your gut instincts. Students will learn basic acting techniques & improv exercises and eventually will be assigned age and content appropriate monologues and scenes, learning how to bring them to life by using the techniques taught in class.

Requirements: Face mask, Comfortable/Workout clothes with sneakers

Triple Threat (ages 10-12)
 

Tuesdays 6:30-7:30pm

If you are looking for a class to hone your skills as an all-around performer, this is the class for you. From the beginner to the more advanced student, Triple Threat Technique combines singing, dancing, and acting all in one class. Being a triple threat is essential for any performer who wants to have success in school shows, community theatre productions, and/or professional theatre. The more technique, talent, and training a student has in all three of these genres, the more marketable they become. In this class, students will learn exercises to train the voice and body through music, movement, and characterization. Students will learn to communicate a story to the audience using materials from Broadway shows. This class also helps to develop stage presence, audition techniques, basic music theory, and an overall knowledge of performing in musical theatre.
